Pastor Joseph and Melissa Smith 

Pastor Joseph Smith has faithfully served as the pastor of Pine Air Baptist Church since 2015. He accepted Christ as his Savior at age 15 and surrendered to the Lord’s call to ministry in 1995. 

 

Pastor Smith earned his Bachelor of Theology degree from Refuge Baptist College. Before coming to Pine Air, he served in multiple areas of ministry under the leadership of Pastor David B. Hudson at Cloverleaf Baptist Church, Cornatzer Baptist Church, and Riverland Baptist Church. He and his wife also spent more than ten years serving as missionaries at Hope Children’s Home, a ministry especially close to their hearts.

 

Pastor Smith and his wife, Melissa , are blessed with three grown children, two children in heaven, and two grandchildren. He enjoys hunting and spending time with his family whenever he can. She enjoys spending time with family, writing devotionals, encouraging others, and gardening. 

 

Their desire is to see believers firmly rooted in the Word of God and committed to sharing the Gospel with others.
